- 国家重点保护的野生动物分为一级保护野生动物和二级保护野生动物。 The wildlife under special state protection shall consist of two classes: wildlife under first class protection and wildlife under second class protection.
- 本办法所称畜禽遗传资源，是指畜禽及其卵子（蛋）、胚胎、精液、基因物质等遗传材料。 The “livestock or poultry genetic resource” as mentioned in the Measures refers to genetic stocks including livestock or poultry and its ovum (egg), embryo, semen and genetic materials.
- 其大气污染物处理设施必须保持正常使用，拆除或者闲置大气污染物处理设施的，必须事先报经所在地的县级以上地方人民政府环境保护行政主管部门批准。 Their atmospheric pollutant treatment facilities must ensure normal operations. Where the said facilities are to be dismantled or left idle, approval of the local administrative department of environmental protection under the people's government above the county level shall be obtained in advance.
- 组织防洪区内的单位和居民积极参加防洪工作，因地制宜地采取防洪避洪措施。 They should organize units and residents within flood control areas to actively take part in flood control work and take measures for flood control and flood evasion in the light of local conditions.
- 按照防洪规划和防御洪水方案建立并完善防洪体系和水文、气象、通信、预警以及洪涝灾害监测系统，提高防御洪水能力； They should, according to flood control planning and flood prevent ion schemes, establish and perfect the flood control system as well as systems for hydrology, meteorology, communications, early warning and monitoring of flood and waterlogging in order to improve the capability for flood control.

- 海洋污染防治另由法律规定，不适用本法。 This Law is not applicable to prevention and control of marine pollution, which is provided for by a separate law.
- 在中华人民共和国管辖海域以外，排放有害物质，倾倒废弃物，造成中华人民共和国管辖海域污染损害的，也适用于本法。 This Law shall also apply to the discharge of harmful substances and the dumping of wastes done beyond the sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China that cause pollution damage to sea areas within the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China.
- 因从事本职生产、经营工作受到噪声危害的防治，不适用本法。 This Law shall not apply to prevention and control of noise hazards incurred in the course of production or business operation one is engaged in.
- 固体废物污染海洋环境的防治和放射性固体废物污染环境的防治不适用本法。 This Law shall not apply to the prevention and control of marine environmental pollution by solid waste or of environmental pollution by radioactive solid waste.
- 取土占地、砍伐林木的，在汛期结束后依法向有关部门补办手续； Those who collected earth, occupied land or felled trees shall apply to the competent department for completing required formalities according to law after the flood season．
- 凡是向已有地方污染物排放标准的水体排放污染物的，应当执行地方污染物排放标准。 Those who discharge pollutants into any water body for which local standards have been established shall observe such local standards.
- 向城市污水集中处理设施排放污水、缴纳污水处理费用的，不再缴纳排污费。 Those who discharge sewage to the central treatment facilities and pay the fees for sewage treatment shall be exempted from the pollutant discharge fee.
- 拒绝、阻碍水土保持监督人员执行职务未使用暴力、威胁方法的，由公安机关依照治安管理处罚条例的规定处罚。 those who refuse to accept or hinders the performance of duty by personnel in charge of supervision over water and soil conservation, but without resorting to violence or use of threat, shall be punished by the public security organ in accordance with the Regulations on Administrative Penalties for Public Security.
- 违反本法第四十一条第二款规定，在人口集中地区、机场周围、交通干线附近以及当地人民政府划定的区域内露天焚烧秸秆、落叶等产生烟尘污染的物质的，由所在地县级以上地方人民政府环境保护行政主管部门责令停止违法行为；情节严重的，可以处二百元以下罚款。 Those who violate the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 41 of this Law by burning in the open air stalks, fallen leaves or other materials that cause smoke or dust pollution in densely inhabited areas, the areas around the airport, the areas in the vicinity of main traffic arteries or areas designated by the local people's government shall be ordered to stop the illegal act by the administrative department of environmental protection under the local people's government at or above the county level in the place the violator is located. If the circumstances are serious, the violator may be imposed upon a fine of not more than 200 yuan.
- 在该区域内建设噪声敏感建筑物的，建设单位应当采取减轻、避免航空器运行时产生的噪声影响的措施。 To build noise-sensitive structures within such areas, the construction units shall take measure to mitigate or avoid the impact of the noise emitted by aircraft in motion.
- 出口前款规定限制出口的珍贵树木或者其制品、衍生物的，必须经出口人所在地省、自治区、直辖市人民政府林业主管部门审核，报国务院林业主管部门批准，海关凭国务院林业主管部门的批准文件放行。 To export the precious trees or their products and derivatives, the export of which is restricted according to the provisions of the above paragraph, it shall be imperative to go through the examination of the competent forestry authorities under the people's government at the provincial, autonomous region or directly administered municipality where the exporter is located and obtain the approval from the competent forestry authorities under the State Council; the customs shall release the goods upon the presentation of the approval documentation from the competent forestry authorities under the State Council.

- 运输企业应当将承运的不同质量的煤炭分装、分堆。 Transport enterprises shall put coal of different quality to be transported into different packages or stock piles.
- 运输、存贮农药和处置过期失效农药，必须加强管理，防止造成水污染。 Transportation and storage of pesticides and disposal of expired or ineffective pesticides shall be strictly controlled to prevent water pollution.
